Military in Chaos
Military Tactics Not Working
Einstein said: "repeating the same thing over and over again expecting different results is the definition of insanity."
Ground Troops: Approximately 80% of the deaths of our brave military personnel in Iraq are due to IED's (Improvised Explosive Devices). Every day our ground troops are sent out in vehicles driving on roads, like ducks in a shooting gallery, being killed by the IED's and our military does nothing to change tactics.
Helicopters: We keep hearing about our military helicopters being shot down by the enemy and our military does nothing to change tactics.
Clear & Leave: Our military keeps playing the game of "clear and leave" instead of "clear and hold" areas within Iraq. We keep losing the lives of our brave military personnel each time with the overall end result being no progress.
Political Meddling
Meddling by politicians has completely destroyed our nation's ability to win wars. Political meddling into the handling of the war in Iraq has led to the chaos in our Military. Political meddling in military matters during the Viet Nam war caused the chaos there and our eventual withdrawal from the country.
Refusal
to
Use Overwhelming Force
Political meddling prevented our use overwhelming force in Iraq as was recommended by most military experts. This resulted in not enough troops to secure and destroy known sights within Iraq that contained explosives and other weapons. These sites were left wide open to the terrorists within the country.
Refusal
to
Cut Off Supply Lines
In WWI & WWII a prime military objective was to cut off the enemy supply lines. This resulted in the enemy running out of ammunition and replacement personnel. However, in Iraq the borders are wide open allowing the insurgents to be re supplied with weapons and replacement terrorists. This was another result of insufficient forces being used.
Refusal
to
Secure Borders
If we had secured the borders in Iraq then those fighting within the country would have eventually run out of weapons and ammunition. However, insufficient forces used prevented the borders from being secured.
Also, if we had secured our borders in the U.S. we wouldn't have over 12 million illegal's who have entered our country -- many of which are criminals, drug lords, and foreign terrorists.
Refusal
to
Control Chaos in Iraq
When we marched into Baghdad the citizens were running wild as criminals breaking into buildings and stealing everything in sight. When confronted about the chaos our Secretary of Defense Don Rumsfeld said, "they are just letting off a little steam."
